What is the week like?

The week begins with a hilarious email telling your teachers and staff that you’ve noticed how much they’ve given this year, and you want to give them something to smile about before break. You’ve planned a little holiday fun inspired by Elf, with games, treats, and surprises along the way. Excerpt from email:

…Yes, that’s how we will keep our sanity to get through this final stretch!  To entertain ourselves, to have a little fun, and to provide me an excuse to show my appreciation for all you’ve done in 2026, let’s “rewatch” Elf over the next few days and recreate some of the iconic scenes to the best of our ability right here at the school!

Each day features mini-games and treats where staff participate for a chance at the grand prize: an early start to their break while your elves cover their duties! (Or, of course, you can substitute a prize of your choice).

How much time or extra budget is required?

Setup takes about 15 minutes to select and customize your mini-games and treats. Each day then requires about 5 minutes to copy/paste the daily emails and monitor the games (which essentially run themselves).

There are also opportunities for OPTIONAL treats throughout the week, like the Elf Breakfast and “The Code” holiday treats table.  You can go big or smaller with these, enlist the PTO/PTA to contribute, or leave the treats out completely.
